Italian delegation in Lebanon to revive anniversary of Sabra and Shatila

An Italian delegation arrived yesterday at Beirut to revive the 18th anniversary of the massacre of Sabra and Shatila camps, which coincides with 16th of the current month.

The delegation comprises member in the European parliament Louisa Morginiti, the Italian deputies Gabriella Bestoni, Georgelilmo Linto, Semioni Alberto in addition to politicians from right and left parties, artists, journalists and intellectuals.

The delegation met Lebanese president Emil Lahud this morning and some Lebanese politicians as well as the activists in civil associations.

The delegation will visit the Palestinian Camps and will conclude the visit with a candles march to the martyrs graves.

Lebanese and Palestinians are to participate in this march.
