Tunisia selected to host 2004 African Nations Cup
The Cairo-based African Football Confederation (CAF) on Monday selected Tunisia to host the 2004 African Nations Cup (CAN-2004).
Tunisia obtained 9 of 13 votes of CAF executive committee members against 3 for Zimbabwe and one vote for Zambia and Malawi, who presented a joint bid.
This is the third time that Tunisia hosts the pan-African competition after 1965 and 1994.
The Cup, held every two years, will be staged in 2002 by Mali.
