Sudanese FM meets al-Mahdi to discuss reconciliation efforts

Under the Egyptian - Libyan initiative for rapport in Sudan, Sudanese foreign minister Mostafa Ismail met with head of the opposition Ummah party al-Sadeq al-Mahdi.

The meeting tackled the latest political developments and the Sudanese government's call for convening the preliminary meeting for reconciliation, which was welcomed in Egypt and Libya, in addition to developments of the military positions in the southern and eastern fronts of the country.

Sources in Ummah party said that al-Mahdi emphasized during the meeting his support to efforts to achieve a full political solution to restore stability in Sudan.
