Seventeen US volunteers to promote Moroccan handicraft enterprises
A team of 17 US volunteers will be contributing assistance and consulting for the creation of handicraft enterprises in Morocco.
The mission is part of a joint project between the Moroccan department in charge of handicraft and the US Peace Corps.
The volunteers will help young craftsmen create their own company and provide rational management counseling and support to existing enterprises.
Peace Corps has started its operations in Morocco in 1963. A total of 3,000 Peace Corps volunteers have contributed to the development of mountainous regions and to drinking water supply in rural areas.
