Israel to release 150 Palestinian detainees in case of progress in Camp David
Israeli diplomatic sources expected releasing 150 Palestinian detainees in case of any remarkable progress in the Camp David negotiations.
A report by the Israeli newspaper Maariv said that the prisons authorities are about to make new classifications to the detainees that differentiate between those who are accused of implementing attacks before the Oslo agreement in 1993 during which they wounded Israelis and spent most of their imprisonment period, and those who are accused of killing Israelis during violent armed attacks.
The report said that the Israeli security bodies recommended releasing some captives from the first kind in case of reaching an agreement in Camp David between the Israelis and the Palestinians.
