Moroccan - french relations poised for large prospects of cooperation

Originally published

Morocco's King Mohammed VI sent President Jacques Chirac of France a message of congratulations on the occasion of his country's National Day stating that Moroccan-French relations are promised for large prospects of cooperation, solidarity and understanding.

The king underscored the exceptional quality having always marked with the "seal of sincere relationship" French-Moroccan relations, that are, he said, consolidated by "the significant pages that our two nations have written together in the past as well as by the excellent relations of a promising present."

Describing these relations as "exemplary," King Mohammed VI said that they are poised for large prospects of cooperation, solidarity and understanding and that everything calls the two peoples to fructify "this appreciable gain" and to draw the best of their respective genius to enrich their partnership.

The French and Moroccan people are not close by geographic proximity only but also, and even more, by their shared ideal of peace, faith in tolerance and attachment to humanistic values, King Mohammed VI said.

Recalling the state visit he paid to France earlier this year, the king said the talks he had with the French President confirmed that they have converging standpoints on several issues of mutual concern, either bilateral, regional or international.
