Head of OPEC makes a gulf tour

Ali Rodriquez,, head of OPEC and Venezuela's oil minister arrived in Kuwaiti on his gulf tour amid news about Saudi Arabia's retreat and delaying the decision to increase petroleum production in order to consult regarding taking collective steps on this matter.

Rodriquez, is to head tomorrow to Saudi Arabia to meet the Saudi oil minister Ali El-Noaimi to discuss his statements concerning the Saudi production increase of 500,000 barrels per day if the petroleum prices did not decrease soon.

The Kuwaiti oil minister said that his country does not hold talks with others for increasing the petroleum production.

Gulf sources said that Kuwaiti would not be among the countries that could participate in increasing the production.
