Islamic bank holds symposium in Indonesia

Indonesian President Abdurrahman Wahid is scheduled to open a symposium and an exhibition of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) to be held here on June 26, reports Indonesian news agency "ANTARA."

The one-day symposium and exhibition will commemorate the IDB's 25th anniversary, in the presence of Indonesian officials, representatives of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC), and officials of financial institutions.

According to the source, the Jeddah-based IDB has extended US$ 1 billion in loans to Indonesia.
