Moroccan and Canadian women to initiate smart partnership

Originally published

About fifty Moroccan women operating in various fields arrived here Sunday to participate in the first Moroccan women forum scheduled for May 30-June 2 in Quebec.

According to Morocco's general consul in Montreal, Farida Jaidi, the event has two main objectives: to create a forum for exchange of ideas and experiences to highlight the political, socio-economic and cultural role of Moroccan women and forge smart and sustained cooperation between Moroccan and Canadian women in various fields.

The meeting, entitled "Moroccans on the move: between appearances and realities," includes debates, exhibitions, music shows and fashion.

Partnership agreements with some Canadian universities and businesswomen networks are expected during this forum.

Two workshops are also on the agenda to debate issues related to education, labor, politics, media, and the role of Moroccan women associations.
