Moroccan athlete in Seville meet
Morocco's track and field star, Hicham El Guerrouj, will take part next June 9 in the Seville meet, Spain, part of the IAAF fixtures.
El Guerrouj, who is making his first appearance in the season, had said he would not participate in many competitions to concentrate on the Olympic games of Sydney where he wishes to obtain the Olympic title still missing on his record.
El Guerrouj holds the world 1,500 meter title gleaned in 1997 in Athena, and Seville 1999. He also holds three world records (1,500m, 2,000 m and the Mile).
He is scheduled to show up next June 23 in the Paris Saint-Denis meet, first stage of the Golden League.
