Bashar al-Assad meets with Haine

In a diplomatic development described by observers as having a significant meaning the son of the Syrian president Bashar al-Assad met with the British minister of state for the foreign office Peter Haine. Haine described his meeting with Bashar as warm and good adding that during their meetings with Haine, Bashar al-Assad and the Foreign Minister Farouk al-Shara renewed Syria's adherence to peace and the possibility of making peace.
