Kuwaiti crown prince confers with Iranian culture minister

Kuwait's Crown Prince and the Prime Minister Sheikh Saad Al- Abdullah al-Sabah on Monday in Kuwait received Iran's minister of culture Ataollah Muhajirani.

Talks during the meeting which was attended by the Kuwaiti minister of information Saad Bin Teflah al-Ajami dealt with friendship and cooperation relations between Kuwait and Iran and means of developing and consolidating them, continuously in the cultural and media areas.

An exhibit on Iranian contemporary art opened in Kuwait on Saturday with IRNA reporting that "in the presence of visiting Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ataollah Mohajerani and Kuwaiti Information Minister Saad bin Tefleh al-Ajmi. Admiring the works of Iranian artists, the Kuwaiti minister said the holding of such exhibits contributes to better ties between the two nations. Mohajerani said that the exhibit will provide an opportunity for the ordinary people of Kuwait as well as its artists to get acquainted with Iranian arts. During the inauguration ceremony, Secretary-General of Kuwait's National Council on Culture, Literature and Arts, Muhammad al-Ramihiexpressed his hope that cultural issues will serve as a means to enhance understanding and friendship among Iranians and Kuwaitis."
