Egyptian - Sudanese committee convenes end of May

It was decided to convene the joint Egyptian - Sudanese ministerial committee under the chairmanship of the two states' foreign ministers at the end of the current month in Cairo.

Egyptian diplomatic sources said that files of the subjects that will comprise the agenda are currently being prepared and that a meeting for the joint technical committee will be held in Khartoum for this purpose.

The sources assured that Egypt seeks to support what could result in a comprehensive reconciliation in Sudan and keeping its territorial integrity which is the goal of the Egyptian - Libyan initiative, adding that Egypt does not object to the I.G.A.D initiative and that those who share this vision are welcomed to join hands with "us" in order to reach the final solution.
