Algeria urged the European union to present urgent aid for reconstructing the country after the internal strife, which lasted for 3 years due to which more than 100,000 persons were killed. Yusef El-Yussefi the Algerian foreign minister spoke of the necessity of getting aid from the European union for reconstructing the economic and social structure in the areas that were destroyed by the violence works for which the armed Islamic groups were blamed, saying that the terrorist groups destroyed the Algerian economy and that Algeria needs several years to get back to normal.
