UAE president confers with Emir of Qatar

United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan al-Nahyan met on Tuesday with Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa al-Thani, and discussions dealt with means of strengthening relations between the two countries and several current regional and Arab issues.

The Gulf News Agency said the Emir of Qatar had arrived in the UAE earlier in the day on an official visit and that he is accompanied by a high-ranking delegation.
