Morocco deplores at UN Human Rights Commission abuses in Polisario-controlled camps
Chairman of the Moroccan Human Rights Advisory Council (CCDH), Driss Dahhak, expressed in Geneva Tuesday at the UN Human Rights Commission Morocco's concerns over the situation of persons sequestered in the Polisario camps and over the racist campaigns against Moroccan expatriates in some European countries.
Dahhak told the 56th session of the commission that in addition to its traditional concerns, the CCDH is also worried over the situation of persons sequestered by the Polisario and daily violations of their most basic human rights.
He also expressed worries over acts targeting Moroccans living in some European countries.
After he surveyed the CCDH achievements in promoting human rights in Morocco, Dahhak cited the happy developments in the compensation of victims of arbitrary detention and of missing people relatives.
He added how the CCDH was proud of having organized this April 13-15 the successful meeting of the international workshop of national human rights promotion institutions.
