Saudi Arabia negates signing new weapons deals
Saudi defense and aviation minister Prince Sultan Bin Abdel Aziz said that his country does not intend to sign new weapons transactions at the current time.
Last week, Prince Sultan met with U.S and U.K defense ministers who visited Saudi Arabia to offer any new weapons to Saudi Arabia whether tankers or jets, saying that Saudi Arabia has no fear from Iraq or Iran.
It worthy to mention that the U.S defense secretary visited Saudi Arabia and the rest of the Gulf states during his tour seeking to establish a joint defensive system that would create an early warning network against missiles.
Prince Sultan made a condition that the gulf states must agree on this U.S proposal before Saudi Arabia does.
