Illegal alien-smugglers clashes kill one in northern Morocco

Violent clashes Monday night between members of a group of sub-Saharan illegal aliens and smugglers killed one and maimed 13 in Fnideq, in the northern province of Tetuan.

The clashes with illegal immigrants claiming to be Senegalese took place in a mountainous area called "Jbel Khandeq Aberrane" whose grottos are prized hideaways for candidates to illegal immigration to Europe, police sources said.

Police forces are investigating the incident and tracking down people involved in the clashes.
