Government sets up committee for disabled integration

Originally published

The government decided Thursday to set up a special committee chaired by Premier Abderrahmane Youssoufi to design programs for better integration of the disabled in daily life.

Programs will provide for social, professional and intellectual integration of the handicapped, said government spokesman Khalid Alioua, pointing out that secretary of state in charge of the disabled, Nezha Chekrouni, has submitted a program to the government council.

Morocco celebrated Thursday the country's national day for the disabled launched under the late King Hassan II.
