Prime minister of Cape Verde Carlos Veiga on Tuesday got a message from King Mohammed VI destined for President Antonio Mascarenhas Monteiro, who is currently visiting Libya.

The message was conveyed by the secretary of state in charge of solidarity and humanitarian action, Hammou Ouhalli, at a meeting in Praia that discussed means of upgrading bilateral relations.

Ouhalli, who made a stop over in Dakar Wednesday, told MAP's bureau there that the two sides have voiced determination to consolidate cooperation, especially in matters of agriculture, hydraulics and tourism, and have expressed satisfaction at the trust marking relations between Rabat and Praia.

Premier Veiga voiced satisfaction at Morocco's participation in the coming Africa-Europe summit, pointing out that the kingdom's presence will be beneficial to the continent given its European experience.

Several other Moroccan envoys are touring a number of African states to deliver to their leaders messages from King Mohammed VI.

The messages deal with bilateral cooperation and ways to enhance inter-African cooperation.

The Moroccan envoys' talks with their various African interlocutors cover the candidacy of Moroccan Omar Kabbaj to a second term at the head of the African Development Bank (ADB), and the upcoming Euro-African summit, scheduled in Cairo next April 3-4.

Cape Verde voiced backing for Kabbaj's candidacy and appreciation for the work he accomplished during his first term.

Ouhalli is expected on a similar mission in Bissau Guinea and Gambia.
