Moroccan - American commerce and investment partnership

Originally published

The Moroccan-American trade and investment council and the Al Akhawayn University passed here Tuesday a partnership agreement meant to enhance exchanges and promote research and joint organization of events.

Studies, sharing of experiments and expertise to promote the kingdom in the United States and make American firms invest in Morocco are the main objectives of the convention passed.

The council will help promote Al Akhawayn in major events in the US and with firms keen on coming to Morocco and use further training opportunities the university offers.

The agreement also provides for joint information seminars for the council members and Moroccan economic operators and active contribution of Al Akhawayn to the Moroccan pavilion at the information technology conference slated for October in Florida.

In a side-meeting to the works of the council board, the document was signed by the council's co-chairman Othman Benjelloun and the university's president, Rachid Belmokhtar.
