Israeli group visits Yemen
Israeli Radio said on Tuesday that for the first time in the history of Israeli - Yemeni relations a group of Israelis is currently visiting Yemen.
The radio added that this group includes six persons of Yemeni descent, including four rabbis, and that those people entered the Yemeni territories with Israeli passports and were warmly welcomed.
The radio quoted the Israeli daily Yediot Ahronot as saying that two of the rabbis in the group intend to convey a message to the office of Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh from the spiritual leader of the Israeli Shas movement, Rabbi Obadia Yousseif, in which Yousseif expresses his hope of establishing better relations between Israel and Yemen.
