Originally published

Jordan's King Abdullah II has explained that the UN mission in Kosovo has not been completed yet and needs more efforts.

In statements he made on Tuesday on board the plane which brought him home back after he had visited the Jordanian peace keeping forces in Kosovo, the Jordanian king added that the international community had carried out a great role.

He added that the citizens of Kosovo are in need of ensuring general security for all and that the international community has to help those people build their infrastructure.

He added that unemployment rate reached 85% and that the international community has to give them a helping hand to be able to help themselves.

He said that he figured out from his discussions with military personnel and officials in Kosovo that the UN has to achieve tangible results.

Jordan is taking part in a small contingent of 150-200 troops, while members of its medical team are working in the French area and another 55 troops are joining the US forces in Kosovo.

The international forces led by NATO in Kosovo are composed of 37,000 troops.
