Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri met yesterday with Arab League Secretary General Esmat Abdul Meguid, who is currently in Beirut after his participation in meeting of the Arab foreign ministers on Saturday.

Abdul Meguid denied, following the meeting, the existence of any Arab disputes concerning the decisions made in the foreign ministers' conference, warning that any doubt in the Arab stance will achieve Israel's goal.

Abdul Meguid depicted the Arab ministerial meeting as being a historic event and a jump in responding to all Lebanon's demands. He added that it expresses the Arab states' supporting for Lebanon, saying that the Israeli reaction to the last decisions proves that the meeting achieved its goals.

Meantime, Lebanese Prime Minister Salim al-Hoss denied what was reported by some mass media concerning Egyptian - Syrian disputes during the meetings of the Arab League council of foreign minsters in Beirut, depicting what was rumored about a clash between the Egyptian and Syrian delegations as "April Fools Day," saying that Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa kept working side-by-side with the Syrian and Lebanese delegations on removing any obstacles in the way of giving success to the meetings.
