Football: Egyptian Gandour to officiate European Nations Cup

Egyptian referee Gamal Al-Gandour will officiate matches of the European Nations Cup (EURO-2000), to be co-hosted next summer by Holland and Belgium, the African Football Confederation (CAF) announced. Al-Gandour will be assisted by Malian referee, Dramane Dante.

CAF and European peer UEFA are bound by accord for the exchange of referees. French Alain Sars and Spanish Rafael Alonso officiated matches of the African Nations Cup, held recently in Nigeria and Ghana.
