15 Egyptian companies offer to produce Viagra

15 Egyptian medicine companies presented offers to produce Viagra locally to the Health Ministry, among which are 10 private-sector companies and five companies affiliated to the public enterprises sector.

Galal Ghourab, chairman of the holding company for medicine, stated that Mumphis, Alexandria, the Arabian, El-Nasr for medicine and Misr for Medical Products affiliated to the company are ready for production and are waiting for the ministry's consent.

He did not reveal the names of the private companies, saying that producing Viagra locally will limit the smuggling of medicine from abroad and lead to increasing exports of Egyptian medicines to the African and Arab markets.
