Originally published

Syrian Foreign Minister Farouk al-Shara arrived in Damascus on Sunday from Beirut where he delivered a message from President Hafez al-Assad to Lebanese President Emile Lahoud.

Al-Shara had presided over the Syrian delegation to the meetings of the 113th session of the Arab League council which was held on March 11 and held meetings with several Arab foreign ministers who took part in the session.

Earlier in Beirut, al-Shara received at his residence Bahraini Foreign Minister Sheikh Muhammad Jaber Mubarak.

The two ministers evaluated the positive results of the meeting of the Arab foreign ministers in support and backing of Lebanon.

Viewpoints were identical that the decisions adopted and speeches delivered stressed cohesion between the Syrian and Lebanese tracks and rejection of separate solutions and providing every possible backing to these two Arab states.
