Dams filled up to 47% by January
Water stored in dams reached by end of last January 47.8% of the total capacity while the rate stood at 58.3% in the same period of last year, according to the equipment ministry.
With 6.69 cubic meters of water stored, the reserves will meet drinking water needs of all cities which get water from dams and irrigate normally some regions while others will be subjected to restrictive irrigation programs, said the ministry's newsletter.
