Lahoud: Lebanon refuses amendment of April Understanding

Lebanese President Emile Lahoud on Friday stressed Lebanon's opposition to any attempt made by Israel to amend the April Understanding or escape it.

During his meeting with the heads of the US and French delegations to the April Understanding committee, Richard Dardman and Luarant Rayan, respectively, accompanied by the French ambassador and the US charge d'affairs in Beirut, the Lebanese president asserted Lebanon's commitment to a just and comprehensive peace that provides for the return of the Palestinians to their homeland.
