Thailand to have trade exhibition center in UAE

Thailand will have a permanent exhibition center in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), as the latter has offered to provide a piece of land and construct the building for the former, Deputy Commerce Minister Gornpot Asavinvichit said in Bangkok on Thursday.

Gornpot told Thai news agency, TNA, after a meeting with a trade delegation from the UAE that the two countries had initially agreed on the establishment of Thailand's permanent trade exhibition hall in the UAE to promote Thai products in the country and neighboring areas.

The planned trade exhibition center would also be a place where Thai and Arab business persons and investors could regularly meet and create their connection networks, he said.

A memorandum of understanding was signed between representatives of the Thai and UAE governments, he disclosed.
