King Mohammed gets message from Tunisian president
King Mohammed VI received Monday a message from President Zine el Abidine Ben Ali of Tunisia, on efforts to reactivate the edification of the Arab Maghreb.
The message was conveyed to the sovereign by Tunisian Foreign Minister Habib Ben Yahia, who arrived in Morocco Sunday.
The message is part of usual consultation between the two heads of state and privileged relations binding the two peoples and mainly deals with efforts to reactivate the construction of the Arab Maghreb, Ben Yahia told reporters after the audience.
Ben Yahia said that King Mohammed VI voiced consideration for the Tunisian people and for Tunisian leaders, stressing that Morocco and Tunisia, two poles of stability and security in the Maghreb region, were both prompted by common resolve to consolidate bilateral relations at all levels.
King Mohammed VI and President Ben Ali are keen on increased consultations on all issues of interest to the peoples of the region.
The Tunisian official is visiting Morocco a few days after UMA celebrated its 11th anniversary. Maghreban states leaders had on the occasion exchanged messages wherein they had all voiced attachment to the union's edification.
