Moroccan Premier Ends Visit to India
Moroccan Premier, Abderrahmane Youssoufi, on Thursday ended an official visit to India. The visit--February 21-24-- was crowned with the conclusion of several cooperation accords in energy and mines, communications, transport, tourism and information technologies. Moroccan and Indian businessmen convened to set up shortly a business council, meant to provide an adequate frame to explore partnership opportunities for the two countries private operators.
During his stay in New Delhi, Youssoufi conferred with Indian peer, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and was received by Indian President K. R. Narayanane.
Youssoufi's visit helped identify new cooperation fields, especially in information technologies, pharmaceutical industry, energy, transport, micro and small businesses, scientific research and tourism.
These new realms are seen as an opportunity for the private sector and as a major engine for the promotion of bilateral cooperation.
