Third network for mobile phones in Egypt

The Egyptian government agreed on giving the authorization for a third mobile phone network to the governmental Egyptian Company for Communications to start its work after two years after ending the time period granted to the two mobile companies MobiNil and Click to work individually in the mobile communications market in Egypt.

Sources in the Egyptian Ministry of Communications said today that this procedure comes due to the desire to increase the value of this company's shares in the Egyptian stock market, especially after the approach of raising 10% of this company's shares before the private sector.

The sources added that the company will also present services in a more competitive way with the other companies which present this service.
