Egypt says no more divergences on Europe-Africa summit

Originally published

Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa said Monday all divergences which were hampering the Euro-Africa summit, slated for next April 3-4 in Cairo, have been settled.

The Egyptian foreign minister visited last week Morocco and Algeria where he handed messages from the Egyptian president to King Mohammed VI of Morocco and Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika.

In Morocco, King Mohammed VI chaired on Thursday a work session with the head of the Egyptian diplomacy, Portuguese Foreign Minister Jaime Gama, whose country chairs the European Union, and the EU official in charge of the union's external policy and security, Javier Solana, who were in the region in the same period.

The Egyptian foreign minister told the media EGypt will start soon to send invitations to participating countries.
