Yemen denies official contacts with Israel

Originally published

Yemeni Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Abdul Qader Bajmal has asserted that the Israelis want to impose peace to serve their own conditions, which means a surrender from the Arab side, because the one who seeks "just and comprehensive peace does not resort to bombs and destruction weapons."

In a statement to the Tunisian daily al-Shourouk published on Friday Bajmal denied any official contacts between his country and Israel. He stressed that Yemen will not make any contacts with Israel except under an integrated Arab umbrella and a vast and inclusive vision, adding that no inch of the Arab lands are to be under Israeli occupation.
