Kuwaiti shopping festival coincides with renewed prosperity

Kuwaiti economic sources stated that the second Kuwaiti shopping festival, Hala (Welcome) February 2000, which will last till the 24th of this month, contributed in finding a condition of economic prosperity in Kuwait after a long period of stagnation.

The sources stated that this round of the festival witnessed unexpected success to the contrary of the first one last year, adding that the festival needs several years to become established.

They said the festival includes many economic, technical, sports, cultural and social activities, while the festival coincides with the anniversary of Kuwait's liberation after the Iraqi invasion in August of 1991.
