Morocco: Nothing new in our relations with Israel

Originally published

Morocco's foreign minister Muhammad Benaissa has stated that the future of Morocco's relations with Israel is linked to development in the Middle East peace process. In an interview to the London-based al-Sharq al-Awsat (Middle East) daily the Moroccan foreign minister stressed that there is nothing new between his country and Israel concerning raising the level of relations or in regard to what has been said on establishing an air line between Morocco and Israel. He added that his country can not run the risk of establishing an airline with Israel at a time when the fate of the Middle East peace process is not known. He noted his country's readiness to contribute to salvaging the peace process and achieving a just and comprehensive peace in the region.
