Bahrain, the Vatican to establish diplomatic relations

Bahrain and the Vatican have decided to establish diplomatic relations on the ambassadorial level from the side of Bahrain and the Papal Nuncio from the Vatican.

A statement released by the Bahraini Foreign Ministry as saying on Wednesday that this decision came at the desire of Bahrain and the Vatican to strengthen friendship and mutual respect relations, in line with the rules of Vienna's agreement on diplomatic relations signed on April 18, 1961.
