Thirteen files to lift immunity before Parliament
The prime minister's department has submitted to the Parliament files to lift the parliamentary immunity of 13 MPs, Al-Ittihad Al-Ichtiraki daily reported. The files will be discussed in the justice and legislation and human rights committees before being tabled before the plenary session.
The House of Representatives had stripped Mohamed Sghir, an MP of the Popular and Democratic Movement, of his immunity for delivering a bounced cheque.
