Unique spearhead unearthed in Bahrain

A Bahraini excavation team has recently unearthed at the Hamad city site a spearhead, that dates to Delmon civilization. It is made in bronze and is 23 cm long and 6 cm wide. The instrument is considered one of the weapons used by people of Delmon (ancient Bahrain) in their wars.
The Bahraini daily al-Ayam said that Khalil Faraj, the archaeologist who supervises the site, said his team found inside one of the four cemeteries in the "Bbe" district amounts of artifacts and seals.
The Bahraini archaeologist stressed that the weapons found at the site will be new evidence of the abundant history and the development of industry that flourished at the time of the Delmon civilization.
