Bahraini authorities says cause of fire in a furniture factory is known
Bahrain, Local, 3/31/1999
A fire broke on Sunday killing two Asian workers in Bahrain. Officials at the Bahraini civil defense said that electricity friction was behind the fire rather than an aggression.
Bahrain had witnessed several deliberate fires since the beginning of anti - government acts of violence since December 1994, and fire incidents are viewed with suspicion.
The Bahraini daily Gulf Daily News said the fire broke when one of the workers was heating water to make tea.
The fire took place in a furniture factory and a nearby paper factory owned by a Bahraini businessman near the Bahraini Aluminium Melting factory ALBA, 15 km southeast of Manama.
