Russian ambassador: Russia calls for delaying declaration of Palestinian state

The Russian ambassador in Cairo, Vladimir Jospeh, announced that his country agrees with delaying the declaration of the Palestinian state in the belief that rushing the declaration without negotiations could threaten the peace process, the Madrid and Oslo pacts.
He also said that Russia prefers to hold negotiations for delaying the declaration according to an appointed schedule lasting to the end of the current year, pointing out that Russia acknowledges the Palestinian state relating to 1988 following the Palestinian decision in Algeria according to which the Palestinian embassy was inaugurated in Moscow.
