Egyptian president confers with Tunisian premier

President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt today received Tunisian Prime Minister Hamid al-Qurawi currently visiting Egypt.
In a statement following the meeting the Tunisian Premier said he delivered President Mubarak a communique from Tunisian President Zein al-Abidin Bin Ali noting that bilateral relations between Egypt and Tunisia were reviewed.
During his three-day visit to Egypt, al-Qurawi heads the Tunisian delegation to the meetings of the Tunisian-Egyptian joint higher committee which will convene later in the day.
In conclusion to the committee's works, Egypt and Tunisia will sign nine agreements, protocols and executive programs dealing with trade, economy, higher education, health, youths and sports, energy, contracting, transport and electricity.
Also to be signed is the agreement providing for the establishment of a free trade zone between the two countries. The agreement reduces customs fees by 10 percent annually until they reach the zero point in ten years.
