Baghdad levels charges against US, UNSCOM
Iraq accused inspectors in UNSCOM of wanting to harm Iraq by leaking false information regarding their inspection work to the foreign newspapers.
The spokesman of the Iraqi Ministry of Culture and Information said (in declarations broadcast by the Iraqi News Agency) that UNSCOM's leaks of lies concerning Iraq, confirmed Iraqi suspicions about the lack of trust and integrity of some UNSOM members.
Meanwhile, Baghdad accused Washington of exploiting the issue of Kuwaiti POWs who are believed to be held by Baghdad to extend the international sanctions imposed on Iraq since August 1990.
