Maronite archbishops meeting

Originally published

Maronite archbishops discussed the issues of the local elections and the security in Bekaa, during their meeting in Bkerki, yesterday.

Presided by Cardinal Nasrallah Butros Sfeir, the meeting resulted in the refusal of appointments, even limited, in municipal and mayoral elections. Concerning Bekaa, the archbishops asked the government to "take care of the humans before the rocks."

They highlighted the need for an objective study and social offers from responsible parties, namely with the decrease in the people's incomes.
