The Islamic countries will hold an international Islamic conference which all the Muftis (Highest Religious Judges) from the Arab and Islamic countries will attend in addition to the heads of Islamic Unions and confederations from the non-Islamic countries.

A great number of Islamic thinkers and intellectuals will also attend the conference which will discuss the idea of using an Egyptian Islamic satellite to determine the beginning of the Arab months, fasting, the date of Bairam, and the date of going to Mount Arafat so that all the Arab countries would have the same timing. The conference will start end of the current year.

The Egyptian Mufti (Highest Religious Judge) Nasr Al Din Farid stated that the conference will be held in the Iftaa (Highest Religious Judgment) headquarters in Cairo before announcing public subscription in the project in Egypt and the Islamic countries for financing it. This is the first phase which will be followed by another phase in which the satellite will be manufactured and launched.

The Egyptian Mufti added that the total cost of the project is expected to be $4.5 million in addition to L.E. 600,000. The cost of launching the space shuttle will be $5,000 for each kilogram , and $25,000 for manufacturing each kilogram of the satellite's weight.
