Mottaki: No talks with US officials
Iran-USA, Politics, 2/23/2009
Iran's Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki today rejected reports that Senior Presidential Advisor Mojtaba Samareh Hashemi held talks with US officials.
"No official or non-official talks were held between Samareh Hashemi and any US official," spokesman of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Kazem Jalali quoted Mottaki as saying at a Commission meeting on Monday.
Jalali further told reporters that Mottaki had made the remark in response to a question whether there had been any talks between Samareh Hashemi and former US defense secretary William Perry.
He also quoted Mottaki as saying that Samareh Hashemi had no guidelines at hand for such an action.
