Israel forbid Muslims to enter the Ibrahimi Mosque

Originally published

Hebron Rehabilitation Committee (HRC) denounced today the Israeli Occupation Authorities decision to forbid Muslims from entering Al-Ibrahimi Mosque in the city of Hebron on Friday and Saturday, November 21-22 2008 to enable Jewish settlers to perform their rituals.

In a press release the Committee affirmed that the Ibrahimi Mosque is a worship place for Muslims, and that settlers have absolutely no right to it. It added that the decision is illegitimate and breaks all international laws and the human rights conventions.

In the same context, the Committee demanded the Israeli Occupation Authorities to be more strict when it comes to dealing with Jewish settlers aggressions against unarmed Palestinian citizens; the last of which was the abduction of 10 year old child from his family's front yard, near Kiryat Arba' Colony, north of the city of Hebron.
