Iran's Supreme Leader expresses grief at human tragedy in Gaza Strip

Iran's Supreme Leader-Palestine Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei expressed grief at the human tragedy going on in Gaza Strip.

The Supreme Leader sympathized with families who lost dear members in Israeli indiscriminate bombardment of residential areas in Gaza Strip.

"The magnitude of the tragedy is too heavy to express in writing or discourse," the Supreme Leader said on Sunday night in his message of condolence to the Muslim World.

Israel carried heavy air raids against residential areas in Gaza Strip on Saturday killing at least 60 Palestinians the majority of them civilians.

Israel continued with air raids on Gaza on Sunday killing many more civilians.

Israeli violence left at least 110 dead and 200 wounded since last Wednesday.

"The blossoms of flowers withered before the eyes of the parents or the parents were perished before the eyes of the children inside their homes," the Supreme Leader said in reference to at least 16 infants who were killed in air raids on the residential areas on Saturday.

The Supreme Leader expressed outrage at inaction of the United Nations to protect the civilians living in Gaza Strip.

"It is disgusting that the United States and the European states driven by the Israeli capitalists are using their influence with the United Nations to delay passing resolutions to condemn the human tragedy perpetrated by Israel," the Supreme Leader said.
