British PM wants Mideast Peace process move forward
Palestine-Israel-UK, Politics, 10/23/2007
British Prime Minister Gordon Brown has reiterated his desire to see the Middle East peace process "move forward" to an eventual two-state solution.
Speaking at press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Brown said the UK was ready to give "economic help to the Palestinian people."
Olmert said that Israel was "anxious" to make progress on the Palestinian issue and that forthcoming talks could help "set the direction" towards a future settlement.
The United State is due to host an Israeli-Palestinian conference with key players in the Middle East peace process expected to be next month.
